Toy Machine was created by legendary skateboarder Ed Templeton in 1993. Toy Machine is part of the Tum Yeto Distribution, which is owned by Tod Swank, and is sister company to Foundation Skateboards. Templeton stated that the biggest influence for the company was skateboarder Mark Gonzales, and how he designed all the artwork for his own pro boards.
